Sources Of Leftover Food
Among the various foods we eat, roti is one to loose its quality very soon after it is made. And if one has a kid who almost never finishes his lunch at school, then the food is bound to go waste. And now a days, its not uncommon to see even adults skipping meals, under the pressure of work, and finally a lot of food is wasted. The vegetables, curry etc can be easily refrigerated for next time but roti is the one that is hardly usable.
The Procedure (Takes About 60 Seconds)
So here is a way to revive the bread and make it edible once again. Keep the roti in an airtight container and refrigerate it. When you are ready for your next meal, take it out. Put a liberal amount of butter in a fry-pan and heat it for a few seconds. Put the roti in it and heat evenly on both sides, and while doing so, pierce it with a fork. It takes less than 60 seconds for the entire procedure and you get a soft buttered roti which tastes good enough. It becomes soft enough to be folded twice without breaking as you can see in the second picture below.

As usual, my kid left the roti that he took for luch at school. Since the tiffin itself is airtight, I will keep it as such in the fridge.

After the above procedure, the roti has become soft enough to be folded twice. It tastes good and is more palatable than the unmodified form.
